"About Me" continued...
I decided at this time to broaden my life experience by moving further up North (McKinleyville, CA) for 2 years an' then
down South (Ridgecrest, CA) for another 1 1/2 years. While in Ridgecrest I entered a singin' contest at Partners Nightclub
an' won 1ST Place out of 15 contestants... the prize was $200.00. Shortly thereafter I met the woman who is now my Fiancee,
Marsi Mora.
I met Marsi at Wal-Mart... "they" say Wal-Mart has everything. We began datin', an' on Valentine's Day I proposed
to her. To make the event a memorable one, I dressed out in my Elvis suit an' went to Wal-Mart. Marsi was checkin'
out customers as usual... an' I walked up behind her. She was shocked to say the least... she had never seen me that
way before. I then sang the first verse of , "Love Me Tender", with a slight change. The end of the verse was
sang thusly: "...Love me tender, love me true... hear my humble plea. For my darling, I love you... will you marry me?..."
As I sang this, I pulled a scarf from around my neck and handed it to her. In the middle of the scarf was a diamong
ring... I had threaded the scarf through the ring. She said yes.
